Conservation Storytelling
In 2020, together with a core team of two other people, Mana walked over 350 kms along Zambia’s wild and remote Luangwa River to raise awareness and share stories about the communities whose lives were affected by loss of income from Covid-related tourism cancellations. She co-founded the blog Conservation Storytelling, a platform solely focused on telling conservation stories in Africa.

Media Consulting & Training
Aside from creating in-house media, I also consult for charities and conservation organisations that need a range of content created for their marketing and social media needs. Often this goes hand in hand with conducting workshops where I train an organisation’s staff on a range of in-house content creation skills, including writing, photography, creating short videos and preparing work for social media. Please drop me a line via my contact page if you’d like to hear more about what I can do for you.

Writing Commissions
International and regional editorial and feature news stories surrounding conservation and ethical community-minded travel. I also do multi-media news coverage of major conservation events such as translocations. Occasionally I am available for editing / writing commissions on larger bodies of work such as books and magazines. Please see here for more on this part of my work.

Photography
I tell stories about people, places and quality products. Please see here for more on my conservation, NGO and lifestyle portfolios and for more on my style and how I work. Usually I offer tailor-made packages ranging from a morning’s coverage, to a ten-day assignment. Please get in touch for more information.
